An old Hungarian dish, consisting of stewed chicken with a mixture of onions, broth, tomatoes, and a large amount of paprika.


4 pounds of bone, chicken thighs about 8 large pieces
with fresh pepper and salt
1 teaspoon canola oil
2 large onions cut in length and cut slightly in half
2 cloves chopped garlic
2 tablespoons flour for all-purpose
2 tablespoons sweet paprika
1 teaspoon smoked or hot paprika of choice
2 bay leaves
1 14-ounce can be crushed tomatoes
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
¾ cup sour cream
1 12-ounce bag of noodles
