Vijayawada: The price of broiler chicken in the city has started reducing, bringing relief to consumers. From an all-time high of 320 on March 15, the price has fallen to 280 per kilogram.
A scarcity of birds and high demand was behind the rise in price. Chicken sales dropped significantly, forcing traders to import chicken at a lower price from Khammam, Rangareddy and Nalgonda in Telangana.
